Through our benefits programs we strive to support the needs of our employees and their dependents by providing a benefit package that is easy to understand, easy to access, and affordable for all our employees.

Qualified employees may be eligible to enroll and participate in the following plans and benefits.

Insurance & Flex Plans

Benefits are available the first of the month following 30 days of employment, unless otherwise noted. Coverage plans are available for single, single +1, and family.
Health Insurance: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota with two plan options to help employees meet their deductible. Glencoe Regional Health pays a significant portion of the monthly premiums and makes contributions to the employee’s Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) plan of choice.
Dental Insurance: Delta Dental of Minnesota, including limited orthodontic coverage, with Glencoe Regional Health paying a large portion of the monthly premium.
Vision Insurance: EyeMed plan assists with out-of-pocket expenses for glasses and contacts. This is an employee paid premium.
Basic Group Term Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance: Glencoe Regional Health provides a $25,000 basic life and AD&D policy at no cost to the employee. Employee has the option to purchase additional supplemental and dependent life and AD&D insurance.
Disability Insurance: Both short-term and long-term disability coverage available to supplement income during an illness or injury. Employee paid premium.
Flexible Spending Account (FSA): Health and dependent care flex plans allowing employees to reduce taxable income by using pre-tax dollars for qualifying out-of-pocket expenses.

Additional Pay

Call Pay: Hourly rate for all non-restrictive (off site) and restricted (on site) hours.
Holiday Premium Pay: Hourly rate paid at 1 ½ times hourly pay for all Glencoe Regional Health-recognized holidays, double time on Christmas!
Shift Differential: Additional hourly rate for evenings, nights, and straight nights.
Weekend Premium Pay: Hourly rate paid at 1 ½ times hourly pay for working at Glencoe Regional Health’s request during a non-scheduled weekend resulting in three worked weekends in a row.

Paid Time Off (PTO) / Employee Sick and Safe Time (ESST)

Time off is important! We support our employees in this effort with accrual rates that recognize employee classification and years of service to the organization. Accrual includes vacation, ESST, holidays, and personal days.

Retirement Savings

401(k) & Roth 401(k): Employer contribution of 1% with employee match available for an additional employer contribution of up to 4%. Progressive vesting schedule with 100% vested after 5 years of employment! No need to wait to invest in your future, eligibility begins after 90 days of employment; must be age 21 or older.
