Anesthesia

Podiatry

Our podiatrist diagnoses and treats conditions that affect the feet, toes, and ankles – including arthritis, sprains, fractures, and other injuries.

Rehabilitation

Many orthopedic conditions – regardless of whether surgery is part of the treatment plan – will benefit from rehabilitation services such as physical therapy, or occupational therapy. These services can reduce pain and improve mobility, balance, range of motion, and endurance for a quicker recovery and return to normal daily activities.

Our patients receive therapy in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation department on the third floor of the Hospital. It features gyms and treatment rooms with the latest equipment for adult and pediatric physical therapy and occupational therapy.

Patients who undergo orthopedic surgeries such as joint replacement may begin working with a Glencoe Regional Health therapist during their recovery in the Hospital and continue as an outpatient after discharge. Patients can receive outpatient therapy at GRH or choose another facility for convenience. To assist therapists at other facilities, we publish the rehabilitation protocols for all orthopedic procedures performed at Glencoe Regional Health.
