Medical Focus

As a general surgeon, I perform surgical procedures to treat a variety of conditions. Usually, my patients are referred to me by other providers. Before and after surgery, I work closely with those providers to care for my surgical patients. I also follow up with patients and remain a part of their care team until they’ve recovered from surgery.

My Passion

I chose general surgery as my specialty because it’s exciting to be able to address a variety of medical concerns for patients. I’m especially interested in minimally invasive surgery. I appreciate patients who take a proactive role in their health by asking questions. I encourage all of my patients to have screening tests, like colonoscopies and mammograms, because we can detect a lot of cancers in the very early stages when they’re most treatable.

After Hours

My family and I enjoy living in this community, and we’re glad to have escaped the traffic of the Cities. I spend happy hours as a league golfer, and I’ve enjoyed my shifts flipping burgers at Glencoe Days in the summer.
