Baby's

First Photo

Seeing baby’s first photo is an exciting moment for most expectant parents. At Glencoe Regional Health, we make it easy for patients to access and share the sonograms from their ultrasound. In addition to traditional prints on thermal paper, patients can receive their images via text or email. Having instant access to the images on a mobile device, tablet, or computer makes sharing the big news easier and faster than ever.

Receiving Your Images

During your ultrasound exam, your sonographer will ask how you prefer to receive your images. If you choose to receive them electronically, we’ll ask you to provide us with your contact information and sign a consent form allowing us to transmit the images to you. Once your ultrasound is finished and our staff enters your information into our computer system, your images will be sent. The process is so quick that most patients can view their sonograms on their mobile device before leaving the exam room.

Only prenatal sonograms can be sent directly to patients at this time. If you wish to have the images from other medical imaging exams, such as X-rays, sent to you, please complete our authorization to release of medical information form and submit it to our health information department for processing.
