Medical Focus

I’m a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician, and have special areas of interest in cardiovascular care and airway management. I practiced Emergency Medicine in the Twin Cities for 15 years and worked occasional shifts at Glencoe Regional Health before I started here full-time. The medical staff, nurses, and sophisticated technology impressed me, such as the telemedicine capabilities that help us rapidly diagnose critical conditions.

Education & Credentials

  • Medical School: University of Minnesota, Minneapolis
  • Residency: Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis
  • Board-Certified: American Board of Emergency Medicine

My Passion

I value the team approach and the opportunity to “solve the puzzle” that many emergency cases offer. I enjoy rising to the challenge of dealing with stressful situations and helping patients and their family members. It’s rewarding to give patients a high level of emergency care.

After Hours

My wife and I live on a small acreage near Long Lake, and we have two sons. Both boys play hockey and I’ve helped out as an assistant coach. I’m an outdoors person, and enjoy fishing and hunting. When we have free time, our interests as a family involve staying where we are or going further west for fun.
