Diagnostics

Our state-of-the-art laboratory at the Glencoe campus is staffed by experienced technicians and scientists who perform a wide range of diagnostic tests. We also offer laboratory services at our Lester Prairie and Stewart clinics. While many tests can be performed on-site, some may be sent to our Glencoe campus for further testing.

Lab Tests Performed at Glencoe Regional Health:

  • Infectious Disease Testing:
    • PCR Strep A Test
    • Influenza (flu) test
    • COVID-19 test
    • Respiratory pathogen panel
    • HIV and other STI testing
  • Cardiometabolic and Endocrine Screening:
    • Cholesterol and lipid panel
    • Blood sugar (glucose) and A1C levels
    • Thyroid function tests (TSH, and Free T4)
    • Vitamin D levels
  • Pregnancy and Fertility Testing:
    • Pregnancy test (urine and serum hCG)
    • Hormone levels related to reproductive health
  • General Health and Metabolic Panels:
    • Comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP)
    • Basic metabolic panel (BMP)
    • Electrolyte and enzyme levels
    • Kidney and liver function tests
  • Hematology and Urinalysis:
    • Complete blood count (CBC) with differential
    • Hemoglobin and hematocrit
    • Urinalysis with reflex to culture
    • Coagulation tests (PT/INR, aPTT, and D-Dimer)

Convenient Lab Services at Glencoe Regional Health

For your convenience, lab-only appointments are available at:

  • Glencoe Clinic: Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Urgent Care in Glencoe: Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to noon. Please use the hospital entrance for Saturday lab appointments.

A provider’s order is required for all lab-only appointments.
